When the first line-up clashed in March 1974, half of the band went on to create Turning Point (3), while the others continued as Isotope, recruiting new members under the leadership of Gary Boyle. More shifting of personnel continued in the following years, Gary Boyle soon being the only surviving member of the original band. Isotope ceased to exist in 1977 when Boyle embarked on a solo career.
