śrī viṭṭhala giridhārī parabrahmane namaḥ 1 hour japa sadhana meditation / paramahamsa vishwananda

I’ve created this chanting meditation as our Beloved has been emphasizing once again, the importance of Japa. The importance of this simple practice, the basis we all want to develop and sustain. The devotion that we carry into each and every day, until it becomes us. At my last visit of the ashram recently, He again repeatedly highlighted and pointed out the significance of daily 1 hour Japa. Consequently, I’ve heard many who wish to develop a consistent daily discipline and feel like they do not have the full momentum yet - as well as those who already are fully devoted to the daily 1 hour - or more - practice - and those somewhere in the middle - use this piece as you feel it. It can serve as an inspiration to be drawn and taken into the practice - listening at the beginning or chanting along - the tempo and vocal effects are adjusted in such a way that makes the mind grasp and drift with the mantra. And for those who already are rooted in Japa it can be played in the morning/evening as an enhancement or in any moment of the day, as you would play a song. It can be used as a meditation. It’s a beautiful way to share the Holy Name with your loved ones and friends as well. I’ve recorded this piece two weeks back, right after GuruJi’s birthday. Along my Japa practice, I’ve been listening to it every night before sleep and in different moments throughout my day, instead of music, often right when I wake up. I notice my mind playing the mantra on its own, for the big portion of my day - in His voice - like a song that sticks in your head and you want to keep it there. It puts the being into a calm, purifying place. I made a few samples of GuruJi’s vocals, from a shorter recording of his chanting of the mantra - the tempo is purposefully decreased with the vocals replicated and overlayed at certain parts to saturate the mind in an exalted way. I extended it into a 1 hour piece - 1 hour japa sadhana - along with multiple underlying layers of instruments and sounds, in harmonising frequencies and volumes, which help the mind sink deeper into it; it is a curated piece - as I’ve been researching and experimenting with sound in relation to its effects on the subconscious mind for a long time - I wanted to create something special for our Bhakti family - and everyone else - as I know every one of us will enjoy His presence and the infusion of our hearts and minds with the Mantra, uttered by Him. Sound is my sadhana and my seva, therefore, if it brings you joy and elevates your heart, I am happy. Mantra: śrī viṭṭhala giridhārī parabrahmane namaḥ Translation: ’My obeisances to the Supreme Lord Viṭṭhala, which is the refuge and protection of everyone.’ The shelter of the soul. ________________________________ Artwork by the incredibly talented Sumangala More about the śrī viṭṭhala giridhārī parabrahmane namaḥ mantra, according to the Beloved Paramahamsa Vishwananda: JaiGurudev
