Israeli missile attacks hit Damascus and Aleppo international airports in Syria, state media reported. Syria’s General Directorate of Meteorology said two of its workers were killed in the strike at Damascus Airport. The Israeli strikes on October 22 put the two Syrian airports out of service, the agency added. Nearly 100,000 people marched in London in an event to show support for the Palestinian cause on October 21. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said there had been an escalation of attacks on its positions around the northern border by Hezbollah. A senior Hezbollah official said his militant group was “already in the heart of the battle“ and “making achievements“. The US is deploying additional air defence systems to the Middle East in response to escalations in the region.
