The TOP FIVE EASY Power Chord Riffs For Beginners!

The Top Five Easy Power Chord Riffs For Beginners! Power Chords are a really huge part of playing rock guitar, country guitar, really any guitar that rocks! The power chord is not really a chord but a dyad containing two of the 3 notes of a triad. It’s been loosely called a “chord“. This configuration of the root and 5th will become a chord when adding more strings. A “Drop 2“ voicing allows for a complete chord. There are four power chord forms, refer to the first lesson in this series about what a power chord is. The power chord has been played on the guitar for probably it’s entire history but the blues players brought it to life. The power chord is as responsible for rock as anything else in the world and is built into the fabric of our instrument. This lesson goes through five classic power chord riffs from easy to harder, perfect for beginner players. The lesson starts with playing these on one string then two and ultimately, three strings. Have fun rockin’ out!
