Most spiritual music experience ever. My best friend was the one who threw his cowboy hat on stage and Bob Marley picked it up and swung it back and forth with the “riddum“ of the beat of the song. The concert is an everlasting great memory for me. I spent 11 days in Negril in February, 1982. May he rest in heavenly bliss forever and forever. Amen! @timmylarue I also was there peace love my brother @jfront1962 I was there when I was 19 at the time and it was great. @DickMcButts Thank you!!! I attended this year in up from Champaign-Urbana, Univ. of mother served dinner to me and my friends before we went. @Chiefchief4444 The Uptown Theatre used to be one of the ornate Rococo movie theatres. It was unusual that night for live music. Inside held about 2500 people and it was a capacity crowd. The place was dark, filled with ganga smoke and the curtsins were drawn across the stage. Then the bass line for Natural Mystic begins and our anticipation grew. A lone figure steps out center stage. Not tall, not short but thin, confident and in the zone when a lone, dim spotlight shines on Bob Marley himself in blue jeans and a denim work shirt. One hand held the microphone, the other arm he held out in front if him, as he bowed from his hips. Slowly the curtains revealed the I Sistren, including Judy Mowat, and the rest. I still have the ticket stub. @JimmyBahia I was there that night and the previous year in the month of May. This was not a commercially produced video. it was filmed by a Japanese student who was given permission to film it and what your are viewing is a copy which was probably copied over many times. Despite that, it takes me back to that wonderful night. I had tickets for the cancelled “80“ tour. @nancyvolgamore6185 I was THERE!!!! I will never forget it!!! @paris3220 Was there @blackhorse11thACR I was at this show. Was fortunate to have seen Bob Marley 3 different times in Chicago.
